Welcome to the Crown Point Safe Pathways (CPSP) website! We are happy you have found us, since you probably share with us a common belief that our city needs to maintain its proud distinction as a community which caters to safe pedestrian travel. Nowadays Crown Point is growing rapidly, threatening the quality of life aspects of our community. Either through approving new subdivisions with no safe means for pedestrians or bicyclists to exit, to the lack of any off-road trails to connect us out beyond our city limits, the time has become crucial for city leaders and citizens alike to make certain our future health and welfare is secure.
As a means to ensure a healthy, well-connected community, a group of Crown Point residents have banded together to form the CPSP. As detailed in our Mission Statement...
Crown Point Safe Pathways represents a unified voice of non-partisan citizens with a common interest in advocating safe, non-motorized options in Crown Point, Indiana. We seek to promote our goals through engaging with public officials and residents. We are committed to enhancing the health, economics and quality of life in the city through devising strategies towards increasing pedestrian and bicycle options in the city.
If you are like us, and desire to see REAL change in Crown Point for those who walk, bike, rollerblade or wheelchair, then we encourage you to take the time and learn what the issues are and what you can do to make a difference. We would hope your first step would be to join the CPSP as we begin to foster a dialogue with city officials and residents alike on enhancing our non-motorized infrastructure.
