Join Our Efforts!

Crown Point Safe Pathways represents a group of united citizens advocating increased, safer and logical non-motorized connections in Crown Point.  If you, like many others in the city are equally concerned about our lack of walkable and bikable connections, then please consider joining us as we work with city officials to create an environment which not only provides for connections, but encourages them through the everyday decisions that they make.

The road may be long, but it's achievable.  CPSP is a true grassroots movement where you, the Crown Point citizen, can have a real impact on creating change.  Through letter campaigns, events, media releases and attendance at our city board meetings, CPSP seeks to foster a dialogue towards the betterment of our physical environment.  We had a VERY SUCCESSFUL 2007!!!  You can view these achievements in detail by clicking on the thumbnail below...

Of prime importance are our meetings that are held monthly.   These are usual held on the fourth Thursday night, with a start time of 7:00 pm.  The meeting location is 940 Doe Path Drive in the Stillwater Subdivision.  Meetings typically last 1 1/2 to 2 hours.  CPSP also does quite a bit of work online to keep our meetings brief, and to alert other members of critical, time-sensitive issues that threaten to further deteriorate our non-motorized connections.

Membership is simple.   Yearly dues are set at a flat $25 - you are welcome to donate more.   CPSP intends to work through as many existing information sources as possible in order to get our word out, such as the Hub City Monthly newsletter and op-ed pieces in either the Times or Post-Tribune.   CPSP does not have a formal organizational structure, and decisions are based solely on consensus.   Thus, your $25 provides you with an EQUAL voice in how we proceed to effectuate change in Crown Point!
